TonedMD medical weight loss results — clinic in Cedarhurst, serving Hewlett NY

From first call to first prescription — in under a week

We built a streamlined intake so you spend less time on logistics and more time actually losing weight.

Free 15-minute consult

A quick call or in-office visit with our team. We review your goals, health history, and any medications. No obligation — just clarity on what's right for you.

Medical intake & lab review

A full intake with Peiman Ghatan, PA-C or Dr. Jack Fatiha covers vitals, relevant labs, and prior weight-loss history. This shapes your starting dose and program structure.

Your protocol is written

You receive a prescription (GLP-1 or non-GLP, whichever fits) along with an injection or pill schedule, starting dose, and nutritional guidance from our registered dietitian Asal Hakim, RD.

Monthly telehealth check-ins

Once your protocol is established, most follow-ups are handled by telehealth — dosage adjustments, side-effect management, and progress reviews from anywhere in New York State.

Maintenance & transition planning

As you approach your goal weight, we work with you on a tapering strategy and long-term lifestyle plan — so results don't end when the program does.

We match the medication to the patient — not the other way around

Not every GLP-1 is the same. Our providers choose based on your history, goals, and tolerance.

GLP-1

Semaglutide

Active ingredient in Ozempic & Wegovy

Once-weekly subcutaneous injection. Reduces appetite by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone produced after meals. Strong clinical evidence for sustained weight loss when combined with lifestyle changes.

Dual Agonist

Tirzepatide

Active ingredient in Mounjaro & Zepbound

Once-weekly injection targeting both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. Clinical trials show higher average weight loss than semaglutide alone — often recommended for patients who need a stronger response.

Non-GLP

Non-GLP Medical Weight Loss

Oral medications & adjunct therapies

For patients who are not candidates for injectable GLP-1 medications or prefer an oral-first approach. Our team evaluates FDA-approved oral options alongside nutritional and behavioral support.

An MD-led, multi-disciplinary team — all under one roof

Weight loss works best when medical supervision, clinical nutrition, and lifestyle guidance are coordinated. That's why we built TonedMD as a team practice.

What Hewlett residents ask before their first visit

Do you serve patients from Hewlett, NY?

Yes. TonedMD is located at 409B Central Avenue in Cedarhurst — just minutes from Hewlett, Woodmere, Valley Stream, and Gibson. In-person visits are available Monday through Thursday 10am–6pm and Sunday 10:30am–1:30pm. Telehealth follow-ups are available statewide across New York, so distance is rarely a barrier after your initial visit.

Am I a candidate for Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?

Most adults with a BMI of 27 or above — or a BMI of 25 with a weight-related health condition like pre-diabetes or hypertension — may qualify. Our provider reviews your full health history and lab work before recommending any GLP-1 medication.

Do you offer telehealth for weight-loss follow-ups?

Yes. Once your initial in-office screening is complete, most follow-up visits — including dosage adjustments and progress reviews — can be handled by telehealth from anywhere in New York State.

What is the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?

Semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy) is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) activates both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, which studies show produces greater average weight loss. Our providers will recommend the right medication based on your goals and medical history.

What happens at the initial weight-loss screening?

You'll meet with our provider for a health history review, vitals, and — if appropriate — lab requisition. We discuss your previous attempts at weight loss, lifestyle factors, and medical history to build a protocol that fits your life. The visit takes roughly 45 minutes.

Ready to find out if you qualify?

A free 15-minute consult is the first step. No pressure — just a straightforward conversation about your goals and your options.
